Pointform Biography:

• Anja was born an only child to a loving couple in Novopoltavka, a tiny village in Ukraine with a population of just over a thousand people.
  
• She attended one of the two schools in the village, but would not complete her education due to the war.
  
• Novopoltavka was, in the beginning, ignored by the opposing forces, due to its small size and non-confrontational political party. With no real army the village was not considered a threat.
  
• Some fifteen years passed before the Russian military plowed through the village, taking all males and conscripting them; those who refused were threatened and, often punished, with execution.
  
• Driven out of their village by the Russian military who ate them out of house and home, Anja and her peers traveled twenty kilometers north, to Novyi Buh, the administrative center of the Mykolaiv region.
  
• In Novyi Buh, they were given a choice: return to their village and clear out the dead, lock their doors and wait for the best - or, leave their homes behind and join the fast-growing Mykolaiv civilian militia in exchange for shelter, food and water, and protection.
  
• Like many of her peers Anja signed the paper that allowed her entry to the city of Mykolaiv and began extensive physical and mental training to fight in the war.
  
• Unfortunately for Anja, life in the militia isn't at all what was promised: like many of the other minors she's been spoon-fed opiates for the last few years and depends on them to function. They're often placed on the front lines in the battlefield like canon fodder, and most are underfed and malnourished.
